Dhoopan

Dhoopan has its origins in the classical texts of Ayurveda, where it is considered a valuable component of holistic health practices. The word “Dhoopan” is derived from the Sanskrit root “Dhup,” meaning to fumigate or expose to fragrant smoke. This procedure holds cultural and spiritual significance in Ayurveda, embodying the belief that wellness is a harmonious balance of body, mind, and spirit. Rooted in the wisdom of Ayurveda, Dhoopan is a time-honored technique that aims to nourish and rejuvenate the scalp and hair.

Procudure :-

  1. Selection of Herbs: Various herbs are chosen based on their Ayurvedic properties and benefits for hair health. Common herbs include neem, bhringraj, amla, and sandalwood.
  2. Fumigation Process: The selected herbs are typically dried and then burned to produce aromatic smoke. The scalp is exposed to this fragrant smoke during the procedure.
  3. Application to Hair and Scalp: The herbal smoke is directed toward the hair and scalp using specific techniques. This can be done through a handheld apparatus or by allowing the hair and scalp to absorb the smoke naturally.
