In Ayurvedic literature, it is stated that “Nasa hi shirso dwaram”. It means the nose is a door for your brain. Nasya means, the instillation of oil ghrita and kadha into the nostrils according to the condition of the patient.Nasya can treat all supra clavicular diseases like Asthma, Allergic rhinitis, Migrain, hair fall, etc It relieves the blockage of the channels and the diseases are cured effectively.
Procudure :-
1) Massage and steam the nose, forehead, and areas around the eyes
2) Pour the doctor-suggested warm Nasya medicine into the nostrils while the patient is lying in the neck-extended position.
3) Patient needs to rest for 5- 10 mins
4) Patient is exposed to medicated fumes to drain out the accumulated cough in the mouth, chest, and sinus area. Spit it out.
